ICV is committed to working towards the provision of basic health care for children and young people who are victims of climate change-related disasters, pollution, environmental degradation, conflict, and war. We pay special attention to children living with physical and mental disabilities, as well as those suffering from serious illnesses who may be missed by mainstream health systems. We believe every child has the right to a healthy body and a healthy mind.

Here is how you can be part of our mission: Become a Member Membership at ICV is open to all Cameroonians and foreigners, individuals and institutions who care about children’s rights and want to make a difference. As a member, you become part of a growing community of advocates, educators, defenders, and supporters working together to protect and amplify children’s voices. You will have the opportunity to participate in our programs, attend meetings, vote on key decisions, and help shape the direction of our organization. There are different membership categories: Founding Members – Those who helped establish ICV from the beginning Individual Members – Researchers, activists, educators, journalists, social workers, and other individuals who believe in our mission Ordinary Members – Anyone who joins after formation and registers with the association Distinguished Members – Members honoured for exceptional contributions to the association Honorary Members – Persons recognised for outstanding support of our goals Institutional Members – Organizations and associations that align with our values and mission To become a member, please contact us using the details on our Contact page. Volunteer With Us Your time and skills are some of the most valuable gifts you can give. Our Work
OUR WORK What We Do and Why It Matters Our Programs At ICV, our work is guided by one overall goal: to fight for the protection of every child, at all times and especially during emergencies. We know that children are among the most vulnerable people during crises, and yet they are often the last to be heard. Our programs are designed to meet children where they are in conflict zones, displaced communities, schools, and homes and give them both protection and a platform. Below are the key areas of our work: 1. Empowering Children Through Education We believe that knowledge is power and that power belongs to every child. ICV works to ensure that children have access to education, understand their rights, and are equipped to speak up in matters that concern them. 2. Protection of Children in Crisis No child should suffer in silence. ICV is committed to the care, well-being, survival, and development of all children with a particular focus on those facing extreme hardship 3. Advocacy and Awareness Raising ICV advocates loudly and clearly for children’s rights. We work to ensure that governments, institutions, communities, and families understand and fulfil their obligations to protect children. 4. Support for Internally Displaced Children (IDCs) Children who have been forced to flee their homes because of conflict or disaster face some of the most difficult conditions. ICV takes deliberate steps to ensure that Internally Displaced Children (IDCs) 5. Counselling, Vocational Skills and Livelihood Training ICV provides counselling and practical skills training for children and young people in need.
